Description
*1. Performs all components of cardiac and pulmonary rehab evaluations as ordered by the referring physician, including recognition and interpretation of arrhythmias.
*2. Develops and carries out a cardiac rehab or pulmonary rehab treatment plan including monitored and unmonitored exercise and patient educations. Supervises phase IV post rehab program.
*3. Completes and distributes all patient documentation and required paperwork.
*4. Provides patient and family members with appropriate information throughout the course of care.
*5. Communicates effectively with all healthcare professionals.
*6. Demonstrates an active involvement in continuing learning.
*7. Participates in activities which promote department operations and program development.
*8. Accountable for effective time management.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
Required - Current Virginia license to practice as a registered nurse
Preferred - Focused experience in cardiac and pulmonary rehab
EDUCATION
Required - graduate of an accredited school of nursing
ACLS Certification
Preferred - BSN
Advanced certification in cardiac rehab
