Occupational Therapist - PRN-xxxx723 ## Description Under the general supervision of the department director or his/her designee, the staff occupational therapist provides appropriate occupational care and guidance to the patients who have chosen SouthsideRegionalMedicalCenter as their source of health care services. This includes but is not limited to evaluations, administering and directing administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as prescribed by a referring practitioner if required, establishing goals, and re-assessing patients progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation. ## Qualifications Education: Entry-level degree (BS or MS) in Occupational Therapy from an educational program approved by the accrediting commission of the American Occupational Therapy Association is required. Other requirements: Excellent interpersonal communication skills; valid motor vehicle operators license and access to a motor vehicle; ability to perform unusually difficult or involved work requiring substantial and frequent use of judgment and independent thinking in synthesizing information Experience: This is an entry-level position that requires no work experience other than in academic preparation. Licenses/Certificates: Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia to practice (or eligible) in an unrestricted manner as an Occupational Therapist.
