Payroll Manager in Richmond, Virginia For Sale

A small, stable company seeks a Supervisor of Payroll to lead a team in managing an ADP payroll environment. 
 Responsibilities, Duties, and Tasks: 
Supervision of the Payroll Department which uses ADP to cut checks. Scope includes payroll adjustments and deductions, such as garnishment, dues, etc. for bi-weekly payroll and semi-monthly payroll.
Ensures accurate preparation and balancing of payroll prior to processing and submitting to ADP to print checks and perform direct deposits. 
Preparation of file of tax withholding information, and sends to ADP, who is responsible for tax compliance in multiple states.
Preparation of file of 401k information which is sent to the third party administrator.
Qualifications, Requirements: 
College degree in accounting or equivalent experience in computerized payroll functions 
Minimum 5 years experience as payroll supervisor 
Requires maturity and experience to interface with all levels of management and data processing and software vendors.
