The Auto Sales Department Manager is responsible to consistently and profitably meet new vehicle sales quotas through expert management and leadership of the sales team. In order to do so, he/she must forecast sales, maintain proper inventory levels in terms of amount and vehicle types, and motivate the sales team. The Sales Manager is also responsible for hiring, training, and monitoring team member performance. He/she is responsible for the resolution of customer complaints and to assist in closings when necessary . The ideal Car Sales Manager candidate has two or more years in a large-volume dealership, self-directed by nature, exceptional interpersonal skills, fast with math, strong sales aptitude, supervisory/coach/management experience, and a willingness to accept full accountability for sales targets. The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position: - Develop viable sales forecasts and associated sales strategies - Recruit highly professional sales representatives who share our company's standards of excellence and ethics - Train the sales team on sales methodologies that support established sales targets - Train sales team to become subject matter experts on all vehicles and vehicle specifications/features in the inventory - Establish sales quotas for each sales representative and provide continuous feedback in order to manage to overall sales goals - Continuously monitor and adjust inventory to optimize customer choice - Measure and report sales metrics; monitor actuals-to-plan - Continuously and consistently promote the dealership, its values, and its products/services The person we are looking for is to help us find 1 sale per day and train the new hires. This could be your first management job but you must have auto sales experience and knowledge of Finance department. You must be a deal maker. If we hire you and we do not increase sales you will earn about $xxxx per month. If you help us get where we need to be then of course you will earn more. It is a 5- 6 day work week that will be needed for you to hit the numbers for the first year. You need to be a doer and inspire customers and employees to help us have high CSI.
