Job# xxxxxxxx6 Essential Job Functions: Processes biweekly payroll for all Food Services & Hospitality exempt employees and Canadian locations (approximately xxxx people) and performs payroll maintenance including new hire entry, terminations, compensation changes, venue transfers, and other employee changes. Resolves employee concerns in a timely manager by thoroughly researching and investigating the issue(s) and reporting back the findings to the employee or escalating to the Payroll Manager for resolution. Verifies hours worked; compute and verify correct deductions. Specialized bookkeeping and accounting tasks specific to payroll including garnishments, child support, manual checks, direct deposit processing, tax treaty withholdings and other similar activities. Taxes including auditing and setting up new ID’s in the system General Ledger experience. Establishes employee eligibility, coverage and effective date for employees based on established guidelines. Prepares clear and concise reports, queries, correspondence and other written materials as needed. Ensures complete confidentiality and security of personal employee information, including medical information, payroll information, personnel files, etc., without exception. Exercises tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential personnel issues and employee situations while establishing and maintaining effective, positive working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience: Experience processing payroll in Canada preferred Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience; ADP experience preferred ADP Garnishment processing experience is a plus High school diploma or GED required Location: Richmond, VA
