One of our premier clients is looking for an Oracle DBA in North Chesterfield, VA for 12+ months' engagement. In Person interview is a MUST!Candidate must pass a background check, including polygraph and credit check.RESPONSIBILITIES:Works with the software engineering team to provide support of theOracle relational database environment.Provides consultation on relational database design, implementation and technical issues to our systems development team. Provides recommendations for upgrades to Oracle relational databases. Provides recommendations for database security. Provides support for database backup and recovery. Works with the Department's Information Security Officer (ISO) and management to establish policy and procedures for database security. Monitors and optimizes the performance of application systems databases. Identifies and resolves relational database problems. Contacts and informs systems development staff on proper design and implementation of relational databases. Works with systems development staff to troubleshoot and monitor systems for potential problems. Installs, configures and maintains Oracle system software and related products to ensure correct upgrades, patches and fixes are in place. REQUIRED SKILLS MATRIX:8+ years' experience in the following is required:Oracle administration experienceOracle performance tuning experienceOracle security experienceOracle data management experienceOracle configuration management experienceExperience in UNIX environmentsMS SQL Server experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsConsiderable experience in managing enterprise data centersSupervisory experience is strongly preferredOracle APEX experience is strongly preferredOracle DBA, MS SQL Server, APEX, UNIX
