The Ideal Candidate: Is a critical thinker that challenges assumptions and seeks new ideas Understands the "why" and not just the "what" Actively solicits opposing perspectives and alternative ideas Proactively shares accomplishments, knowledge, lessons, and updates across the organization Drives customer value versus meeting customer demands and persistently drives activity to achieve results Responsibilities: Be a part of Tridium's world class team of software engineers as we advance Tridium's position as a market leader in open systems and software, forming the foundation of the Internet of Things Participate in the design and implementation of Tridium's next generation software technology - Niagara Cloud Handle support inquiries escalated from internal technical support group Collaborate with a globally distributed engineering team Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering or a software related discipline, from an accredited college or university plus 8 years of experience as a professional software engineer If no degree, 10 years of experience as a professional software engineer in relevant IoT edge products 3 years as a technical leader in a software engineering organization Additional Qualifications: Master's degree in a related field is an added plus Demonstrated understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Object-Oriented Programming concepts Experience in developing software frameworks and services for the connected systems from Edge to Cloud. Experience with the development of connectivity and communication protocols Experience with Agile software development methodologies Experience in user interface and user experience design Demonstrated problem solving skills.
